Where would the best place to run a course FOR young people? 

Well, a place where you can FIND young people!

Over the past semester, 70 teenagers at St Hilda's Secondary School have been gathering to hear about and discuss faith, prayer and the Holy Spirit. The school’s Christian Fellowship ran Youth Alpha during their Tuesday sessions, as a way to evangelise and reaffirm faith. A quarter of its members are not Christians.

Many students were touched. One student says, “It felt like a burden was lifted from my shoulders. Now I know that He is always there for us.” Another writes, “I’ve learnt that God heals fully.”

The older students facilitated the small groups. One leader says, “It’s good to know you can make a difference and share the gospel with your friends. We have been praying for a revival in our school, and this feels like the beginning.”

“It’s great to be able to bring the gospel to young people where they are, and be amidst them, rather than getting them to come to us. I’m also encouraged to see 15 yr olds take on the small groups!”, says Theresa Jude, Youth Alpha Ministry Coordinator.
