Prayer lies at the heart of any Alpha course and at every stage we want to turn to God in prayer. There are so many new and exciting ways in which people are joining together in praying for our nation and the world. Our hope is that on these pages you can join us to pray for all the Alpha Courses here in Singapore and around the region. .

This page looks at the practicalities of praying with your guests and team during the course.

Prayer: During Alpha Invitation 2011: Prayer for Transformed lives and Communities

• The more we pray for Alpha, the more effective the course will be. It is vital that we underpin every aspect in focused prayer.
• Pray for Alpha in church - pray for your Alpha course at church services, at church prayer meetings and on any relevant bulletins. If your church has a Youth group why not ask them to pray too?
• Hold an Alpha Prayer Event - organise a special Alpha Prayer and Worship event or join with other churches and use it as an opportunity to celebrate unity whilst interceding for the wider community. Try to make this event as creative and engaging as possible. Include worship and encouraging feedback from guests.
• Set up an Alpha Prayer Group - Recruit a group willing to pray regularly for your Alpha course. Keep them informed with updates, prayer points and encouragements. You can communicate with them via email, a Facebook group, or text message prayer alerts direct to their mobile phones.
