Alpha Invitation 2010 - Invite the nation to a meal!
Alpha Singapore will be launching a Nation-wide Invitation on the last week of July 2010!
What is the Alpha Invitation?
The Alpha Invitation 2010 is a nation-wide call to simply invite our friends and loved ones to a meal on 29, 30 or 31 July.
The meal could be anything from a “yum cha” breakfast, buffet lunch, high tea, barbecue dinner to supper! The idea is to have a relaxed, low-key event to which people can feel comfortable bringing their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues. As they tuck into delicious food amid a relaxed atmosphere, the guests will have the opportunity to hear about the Alpha course and sign up.
Why be part of this nation-wide invitation?
The Alpha Invitation 2010 offers a unique common platform for churches to join together to give everyone an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus Christ (Matthew 9:10).
Simple; everyone in your congregation can play a part --- from preparing the meal to inviting a friend or facilitating a group.
Do-able for churches and groups of every size and denomination.
Raise the evangelistic temperature of your congregation, reach new people and, in the process, identify emerging leaders for your church.
Gain a sense of synergy and momentum from being part of a concerted national effort! Alpha Singapore will help co-ordinate publicity and prayer amongst participating churches before and throughout campaign.
Team training will be provided, and Alpha advisers will be available to support your effort
How can I be a part of this?
You may choose to:
- Run an Alpha course (in your church, in the marketplace, in homes, etc)
- Partner with another church to jointly run a course
- Pray – join the Alpha prayer network.
- Give financially – the more you give, the more publicity can be done
- Be an Inviter—bring guests to an Alpha course (contact us to find out where the courses are).
