The Alpha Course is run across the world in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations. Asia, like other parts of the world, is seeing a strong uptake of the Alpha Course in churches.

The course provides a way for everyone in the church to get involved in the Great Commission - either as an inviter, helper or leader. It can be used in large gatherings as well as in cell groups.

Senior Alpha caters specifically to retirees and the elderly. In a society with a greying population, Senior Alpha presents unique opportunities. Many of these seniors have questions of life that they have never had the time nor the opportunity to ask. In their golden years, they have the time, and Alpha provides them the opportunity.

Alpha is run in the Catholic context in thousands of parishes around the world, presenting an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.

It also serves as a refreshher course for practising Catholics or for those who wish to renew their faith, strengthen it, and have their questions answered.

Alpha courses in Catholic churches are hosted either by the parish priest or a lay member of the parish.
